Costume Information
Materials + Prep
This was approximately a one week build with (1) a focus on stress-free experimentation and learning new things, including my first non-encapsulated prosthetic and sculpting a prop in a day using SmoothOn Free Form Air and (2) seeing that Dharma Trading had the exact color scheme for dyeing to use for the cloak!
Prosthetics
Cheeks | I hand sculped the cheek prosthetics from Monster Clay before casting it in Smoothcast 300 plastic since I didn’t need a flexible silicone mold. I tinted it with Silc-Pig before finishing the rough paint job by “drybrushing” alcohol paints from Skin Illustrator, since I wanted to maintain a bit more translucency vs. his other form in the show. Applied and blended with alcohol paints + Skin Tite.
Facial Hair | Bought a premade silver beard and trimmed and cut it massively to shape. Used alcohol markers to tint the hair and add dark brown/black in to mix with the silver. Applied with Spirit Gum due to only wearing for a couple of hours.
Robe + Underclothes
Robe | Linen rayon was dyed using a batik method with white glue for swirls/circles and fiber reactive dyes in Alchemist, Cerulean, and Fog Gray. Commercial pattern.
Underclothes | Lurex-cotton knit with some give that would give a sheen like starlight in the show. Basically a sweater and sweatpants.
Accessories
Stones | Used 3rd degree silicone to sculpt the symbols and set it in a premade stone mold. Cast in epoxy resin with silicone tubes used to make ‘holes’, so they could be wired to the bracelets, which are wood bangles with wood stain.
Wraps | Silk matka from Silk Baron with sanded edges for fraying and weathered with Dirty Down spray.

Made in 24 hour on a whim. Collapses down into 3 pieces for packing on a PVC base. An aluminum and wire armature was sculpted for the top and “jutting out” pieces before being covered with the clay. Painted with acrylics and mixed Worbla Crystal Art with paint for the translucent pink “veins”.
